A Prefabricated Shipping Container Home You Can Buy on Amazon Today
You can get just about anything you want on Amazon and, now, you can even buy your home. That’s right, Wisconsin-based shipping container home manufacturer MODs International is selling a prefabricated shipping container house on Amazon. The house is 320 square feet and uses a new (not recycled) 40 foot by 8 foot wide by 9.5 foot tall sea shipping container as its structure. The fully-finished shipping container home features a bedroom, living area, small kitchen with appliances, and a shower, toilet, and sink. There are large double doors that open up to the outside and let in plenty of light. The home is fully insulated, heated, and air conditioned, and ready for sewer, water, and electrical hookup.
So how much would this brand new home run you? Just $36,000, actually, plus another few thousand for shipping the 7,500 pound home right to your location (don’t think you can get free Prime delivery on this one).
